MEAN WELL, a global leader in standard power supply solutions, continues to respond actively to international climate initiatives and has recently earned certification from the “Temperature Rising Index for Pathways” (TRIPS) platform. The TRIPS platform, jointly developed by CommonWealth Magazine and Tunghai University, is Taiwan’s only public assessment mechanism that discloses whether companies are aligned with the 1.5°C climate target. MEAN WELL’s repeated recognition indicates that its carbon reduction efforts are scientifically validated and aligned with international climate governance frameworks.

In practice, MEAN WELL continues to enhance its product carbon footprint management by implementing the MWPro system, which integrates carbon footprint data from key suppliers across multiple core materials. The company is also driving process optimization and energy efficiency improvements in parallel. According to 2025 data, the overall product carbon footprint decreased by 7.28% compared to 2024, with the flagship model RSP-1000 achieving a notable 12.47% reduction. Manufacturing sites in Taiwan, Guangzhou, and Suzhou reported reductions of 3.9%, 0.2%, and 18%, respectively. Notably, MEAN WELL Taiwan’s organizational carbon emissions have officially dropped by more than 50% from the 2021 baseline year to 2024, demonstrating the company’s proactive efforts and long-term commitment to carbon management.

MEAN WELL’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Mr. Patrick Wang, stated, “Sustainability is not a short-term slogan, but a responsibility and resilience indicator for long-term corporate operations. By promoting supplier data transparency alongside internal energy improvements, we begin with ‘measurement’ to truly achieve ‘management’ and ‘reduction.’ MEAN WELL will continue to strengthen its climate actions and expand its positive impact on society and the environment.”

Guided by the core value of “having good intentions,” MEAN WELL actively fulfills its corporate responsibility to “take from society and give back to society.” In response to the global trend toward net-zero transformation, MEAN WELL firmly believes that only through building consensus, sharing resources, and pursuing mutual benefit can we steadily move forward with global partners toward the 1.5°C target outlined in the Paris Agreement—and create a sustainable future for the next generation.
